I grew up in a small town just outside of central Florida. I grew up at a time when Disney was just being built. I4 wasn’t to busy and it was a time when you could leave your doors unlocked. It was a time when family was important, family gatherings were important. Neighbors actually knew each other and helped each other out.
Besides my faith in God, I learned the importance of character, to be honest, and to do what’s right. Treat other people like you would like to be treated.
My first job was as a prosecutor. I choose that path for one very important reason. I knew that no matter how big or small a case is, there is one thing that happens at the end of the day, it’s trial. I knew that as a young lawyer trying cases as a prosecutor would give me a lot of experience. While some of my contemporaries were out carrying trial bags for senior partners, I was in the courtroom picking juries.
My next job was working for a large insurance defense firm. While there, I learned how insurance companies work, I learned how insurance companies defend cases, and I learned what makes an insurance company decide to evaluate a case one way compared to another. I also learned the tactics they use to try and defend claims.
When someone’s been in an accident their life has been turned upside down. How are they going to get their medical bills paid? Who’s going to pay them? What’s going to happen at work? Are they going to lose their job? They’ve got a family to support, how’s that going to happen? Are they going to lose their job? These are the types of questions that face each and every accident victim we represent.
